No Reason to Panic

No reason to panic. I’ll be missing a few runs this week thanks to being sick. But looking back to my training leading up to the 2012 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, I missed an entire week of runs at exactly the same point I’m at now.

Back then it was a nearly busted toe on a Tuesday night that took me out for a week.

So the mantra is “don’t panic”. A few days of rest during the taper will probably do me more good than trying to run while still fighting the remnants of an awful cold. It didn’t hurt me in 2012…I ran my marathon PB.
